Hello there, I’m Leslie Sharpe. I’m currently a freelance senior creative in Sydney. Previously an Almost Creative Director at Marcel and before that a few years at Droga5 Sydney. In a freelance capacity I’ve spent time at places like Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, R/GA, Mullen Lowe 303 and several others. 

In 2017 I was awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze at Cannes, 3 D&AD Pencils, Gold Innovation at Spikes, One Show finalists and 9 AWARD Awards. I’ve had work displayed in the Art Gallery of NSW and most recently in The London Design Museum. For the last 4 years I’ve helped lead the global Tiger Beer account, developing their entire brand platform and look and feel from scratch and making some nice pieces in the process.

I’m extremely passionate about the creative process, particularly when it’s fluid and genuinely collaborative, where debate is seen as a tool to arrive at the best consensus. I love mining for insights and thinking analytically to solve hard problems with simple and strategic ideas or compelling narratives and bringing them to life in unexpected ways.

I’d call myself a ‘creative generalist’ equally comfortable as a thinker (priority), art director, existentialism, writer (narrative/ideas), designer (identity, comms, UX), content direction, and tend to reserve a few other tricks in my back pocket when I have time to apply them. 

Outside of the office I spend most days making and experimenting through free thinking in the form of photographs, cooking, illustration and filmmaking. This keeps me motivated in my personal life and ultimately feeds into my professional work. So work/life balance is pretty vital. 

Despite what you see here, I’m always trying to explore a wider range of tonality and industries.
